W A Stewart

W A Stewart, 96, of Marianna, Florida went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2021.  He was born July 2, 1924 in Inverness, Mississippi to William and Edna Ruth Stewart.

He was a resident of Jackson County since 1987.  W A served in the Air Force for 21 years and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1964 and began his career as a truck driver. His passions were fishing and cruises and he enjoyed many trips with his son, Jon all over the world.

W A was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Mary Stewart. He is survived by his sons, Les (Teena) Stewart of Pensacola and Jon Stewart of Marianna; two grandchildren, Christopher and Jason Stewart; as well as Randol Stone, a dear friend of the family, who has been a tremendous help with W A and Jon’s care.

Mr. Stewart will be laid to rest beside his wife at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.  Further arrangement information is pending.
