Sandra Lipford of Sneads, Florida, formerly of Marianna, Florida, died Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Jackson Hospital.
She was born March 4, 1945, in Birmingham, AL, to Ida Jeanne Mayes. Sandra made her home in Marianna in 1961 when she married R. L. Lipford. They remained married for 35 years until his death in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her mother as well as a brother, Dennis Ray Spradlin.
Sandra is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Lora Neely and David Crawford, of Kennerm, LA , and Susan and Timothy Roberts, of Marianna, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy “R.L.” and Charlie Lipford of Altha, FL; four grandchildren, Matthew Neely (Melissa Guzman), Lane Roberts (Cara Haddan), Tory Foster, Jerad Lipford; and one great-grandchild.
The family wishes to thank Dr. John Spence and Dr. Mark Akerson for the care, kindness, and compassion they have shown their mother for the last 20+ years.
Private graveside will be at New Salem Baptist Church with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
