Russell A. Dean

Russell A Dean, age 65 of Marianna passed away on January 2, 2026, suddenly at his home.

Russell was a man who was always helping others. Whether he was checking in on a friend or simply offering a kind word to a stranger. Russell was a very special and loving son. He will be sorely missed by both his family and work family.

He was born in Port St. Joe, Florida on December 6, 1960, and graduated from Marianna High School in 1978, then shortly thereafter joined the United States Marine Corps.

Russell is survived by his loving daughter, Sarah Samantha Walker of Tallahassee, Florida. Russell had one granddaughter, Hannah Walker. Mother, Samantha Dean and his father, the late Herschel (Sonny) Thomas Dean, Jr.. His siblings, brother Mike Dean and wife Kim, brother, Jim Dean and wife Tammy, and sister, Regina Burdock and husband John.

A private ceremony will be held for Russell by his family in February 2026.
