Robert Henry Ellzey, Jr.

Robert H. “Bob” Ellzey, Jr., 74, of Malone, FL passed away Saturday, October 5,2024. Bob was born November 21, 1949, in St. Augustine, Florida to Robert H. Ellzey, Sr. and Dorothy Dominey Ellzey. 

Raised in Port St. Joe, FL, Bob attended Chipola Junior College and Valdosta State College. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Bob had a varied career, including owning and operating a boy’s marine summer camp (Camp Nautilus), real estate, and as a political consultant working with former President Jimmy Carter, Senator (and governor) Bob Graham and others. Working with the White House provided opportunities to travel worldwide.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a brother, Lee (Cyndi), a niece, Meghan and a nephew, Ethan (Megan). Bob also had various golden retrievers throughout the years, including Outlaw, his most recent companion.
