Rick Riley, 68, of Marianna died Saturday, June 6, 2026, at his residence in Marianna, FL.
He was born Ricky Cope Riley on May 3, 1958, to the late George Edward and Virginia MacLaren Riley. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Nora Riley and his best friend Charlotte Laramore.
Rick was born and raised in Marianna, FL. After graduating high school, with the help of his parents, he bought Tony’s Restaurant where the three worked alongside one another for over 30 years. After retiring, Rick devoted himself to caring for his dad while splitting his time between Marianna and his beloved beach. Rick and his sister Robbin, were especially close, talking at least once a day. She spent countless hours helping him navigate his health.
Rick loved slot machines, Fox News, bossing people around, Shetland ponies, his dog Dusty, and most of all his condo at the beach.
Rick was known for his bigger than life personality. In his presence you were sure to have a big laugh, hear a crazy story and if he really loved you, receive an insult…or two. You never had to worry about what was on his mind. Whether you asked him or not, he was going to tell you. Rick did not let anything get in the way of his daily routine or hoarding condiments, plasticware, and general household items.
Rick is survived by his sister, Robbin Riley Wells (Emory), his nieces, Georgeann Adkison, Stacy Morin (Bobby), Heidi Donato (Jeff) and Terry West (Greg), great nieces and nephews, Riley Adkison; Parker, Peyton, and Pearsen King; Bryce, Brantley, Sophia, and Reese Morin, and a host of cousins and extended family.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 10, 2006, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
