Rev. Ellis Vickery

Rev. Ellis Vickery, 86, of Marianna, Florida, passed away May 18, 2025. He was born October 15, 1938, to William "Bill" and Cora Lee Vickery. Ellis faithfully served the Lord as a minister over 66 years throughout Florida under the Assemblies of God.

Our loving husband, father and friend. He was sweet, gentle, kind and compassionate to everyone; a guiding light with his wisdom for his family and all who crossed his path. Dad had great love for humanity. He was a great provider for his family physically and emotionally. We could always count on Dad for support. Dad will be missed greatly but we have comfort in knowing he is in the arms of Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his son, Travis Vickery; and six siblings:  Hettie Windam, Buck Vickery, Lou-Ettie Jackson, Mae Hill, Ruby Malchow, and Vernita Melvin.

Ellis is survived by wife of 66 years, Edna Lee Vickery; his children, Hal Vickery (Pat) and Sandra Vickery; grandchildren, Kyle Vickery (Farah), Katie Vickery Sculerati (Tony), and Amber Vickery; and four great-granchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Friday, May 23, 2025, at Pilgrim's Rest Assembly of God with Reverends Tommy Moore and Ben Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Vickery Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025, Beginning at 10 AM at the church.
