Reggie Ray Patrick, age 68, of Port St. Joe, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Reggie was born in Quincy, Florida in 1957. He was raised in Bascom, Florida on his family's cattle farm, a place he loved and returned to throughout his life.

Reggie graduated from Malone high school, Class of 1975. He retired from the Florida Department of Corrections with 24 years of service. Through hard work and commitment, he achieved the rank of Assistant Warden before retiring.

Reggie was an avid sports fan. He even coached youth baseball and played basketball and baseball in high school. He loved watching FSU football. Growing up on the family farm shaped his strong work ethic and deep appreciation for spending time outdoors and hunting and fishing. Reggie was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom, Florida. He was a man of strong faith and found comfort in God. Reggie will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his unwavering work ethic, and the meaningful life he shared with those who knew and loved him. He had a very generous heart and gave selflessly to family, friends, and strangers alike.

Reggie is preceded in death by his parents, John and Fay Patrick, and nephew, Ty Patrick.

Reggie is survived by his loving wife, Teena Patrick; his children, Stephanie Davis (Allen), Mitchell Owens (Brianna); grandchildren, A.J. Davis, Ava Davis, and Abigail Davis and Jett Mitchell Owens; brothers, Larry Patrick (Regina), Clay Patrick (Gina), Randy Reese (Brenda) and Greg Reese (Cindy) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 29, 2026, 2 PM CST at James & Sikes Funeral Homes Maddox Chapel with Ricky Bruner officiating. Visitation will be from at 12:30 -1:30 PM CST. Interment will follow at Dellwood Methodist Cemetery in Dellwood for the family. James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
