Mildred Kathleen Biggs, 84, of Marianna, FL, went home to be with the Lord on August 7, 2024.
She was born on November 25, 1939 in Apalachicola, FL. Mrs. Biggs was a homemaker for most of her life, but also, worked for the Jackson County Health Department for over 10 years as a School Nursing Assistant at Golson Elementary. Mrs. Biggs was fondly known as Maw-Maw, and her two favorite obsessions was loving her family, and being a Pastor’s wife with her husband, the late Rev. Harold Biggs, as they founded the Sanctuary Church of Marianna.
Kathleen Biggs is survived by her four children; two daughters, Dewanna Biggs Smith,, and Dianna Hart (Robert); two sons, Rev. Allen Biggs (Wanda) and Andy Biggs all of Marianna, FL; nine grandchildren, Daniel Laramore (Rachel), Lucas Laramore (Heather), Amber Barnes (Ricky), Joshua Biggs (Amanda) all of Marianna, FL, Alyssa Harrelson (Justin) of Dothan, AL, Sydney Blanchette (Stevie) of Dothan, AL, Rebekah Hancock (Justin) of Marianna, FL, Jonathan Biggs of California, and Beth Ann Biggs; along with, 18 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Dylan Laramore, Richie, Rylan, Rathan, and Alyvia Barnes, Isabella, Lilly, Ellie, Jorgia, and Bailey Biggs, Asher, Adilyn, and Lainey Harrelson, Savannah and Sianna Blanchette, and Analeigh Kathleen Hancock with another sibling on the way.
Mrs. Biggs’ “Homegoing” service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Sanctuary Church of Marianna, 4070 Old Cottondale Road, Marianna, FL., with Rev. Allen Biggs officiating. A private family graveside service will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Honeyville, FL with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chaple directing.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Sanctuary Church of Marianna.
Mrs. Biggs’ family would like to extend a special thank you and appreciation to James & Sikes Funeral Home for wonderfully directing the funeral, Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard, along with their excellent staff, for taking such great care of Mrs. Biggs, as well as, Emerald Coast Hospice for being there in our difficult time.
