Linda Taylor Neel, 77, of Malone, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, at the Courtyard in Marianna. She was born October 28, 1947, to the late Hubert and Emma Ruth Peeler Taylor. Linda was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she delighted in teaching the children's choir and was very involved in all aspects of the children's ministry.
A lifelong Malone Tiger fan, Linda enjoyed watching sporting events and playing women's softball. After graduating from Malone High School and Riley Business College, Linda began a distinguished career of 37 years in the finance department of the Federal Land Bank in Marianna. Always a hard worker, she especially enjoyed picking up the pecans from trees near her home.
Devoted to her grandchildren, Linda lived to enjoy any and all activities in which Meagan, Lucie, and J.D. were involved.
Linda is survived by her son, Scott and his children, Meagan Lowe (Eric), Lucie and J.D.; a great-granddaughter, Aniston Lowe. Linda's sister Bobbye Corbin (Jerry) and nephews, Adam and Andrew and a special niece, Ellory also survive. Special aunt, Patricia Holland and numerous Taylor/Peeler cousins with whom Linda shared a special bond also survive.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church in Malone, FL with Revs. Ed Ham and Nash Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025, until the time of service.
