Lawrence Roger "Bud" Wierman, age 95 passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in Marianna, Florida. He was born November 5, 1930, in Arendtsville, Pennsylvania to Alton and Esther Kane Wierman.
Bud dedicated over three decades of his life as a welder, both in the Air Force and the private sector. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, Lawrence proudly served for four years during the Korean War. His service reflects a life marked by dedication and patriotism, traits that extended into his personal and professional endeavors. Bud found joy in music and was an avid reader. He enjoyed singing in the church choir and was often found at the BBQ cooking for family and friends. He also loved spending time with his "little buddy", King.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Esther Kane Wierman, as well as his late wife, Carolyn Wierman; brother, Ronnie Wierman; and daughter-in-law, Tracy Wierman.
Lawrence will be remembered as a loving father, husband, and Pepaw. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wierman; his son, Mike Wierman; stepchildren, Deborah Reed (Levi), Bruce Ward; grandchildren, Brooke and Ashlyn Wierman, Abby and Karter Reed, Christoper, Tyler and Michael Ward; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 6, 2026, at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Circle Hill Baptist Cemetery, Sneads, FL.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
