Karen "Jo" Jones

Karen Jo Jones, age 66, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marianna, FL. Jo, as her family and friends knew her, was born February 7, 1959. She was a lifelong resident of Sneads, FL.

She graduated from Chipola College with her degree in nursing. She spent her early career working at Florida State Hospital and then spent her days as a homemaker, taking care of her family and loved ones. She was a giving, kind, free-spirited, strong-willed person and to know her was to love her and laugh with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Irma Hinson and sister, Joyce Jackson. She shared many special memories with her sisters growing up, which will be forever cherished.

She is survived by her sister, Kaye Boone; the father of her children, James Jones; her sons, Jamey Jones (Cristina), Jason Jones (Sumer) and a host of beloved grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Jo loved to spend time with her family and made friends easily wherever she went.

Her funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, November 18. 2025 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor Steve Benefield officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until the time of service.
