Judy Voneve Sanford, 80, of Cottondale, Florida died Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Jackson Hospital.
She was born April 1, 1944 in Bonifay, Florida to Joel and Flarrie White. She always put her family first, after her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the epitome of a pastor's wife. She loved serving others and supporting her husband through every phase of ministry. Along with being a wife, mother, and grandmother, she worked for Jackson County School Board as a Cafeteria Manager throughout the county until her retirement. She cherished her title of “Grandma” and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Jerry Sanford; parents, Joel and Flarrie Leavins White.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Pam Sanford; son Dale Sanford and wife, Lisa; grandsons, Derek Sanford and wife, Camie, Daniel Sanford; great-granddaughter, Mary Grace Sanford; brother, Larry White and a host of extended family, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, May 30, 2024 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Bobby Thompson and Rev. James Harrell. Burial will follow in Alford City Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
