John Gary Mooneyham, 69, of Marianna, Florida passed away Monday June 29, 2026. He was born June 10, 1957, in Quincy, Florida to Rodis Virgil and Ruth Louise Rowan Mooneyham. He joined his three brothers, Joseph Virgil, James Albert, and Richard David Mooneyham.

John was always staying busy. He loved buying, selling, and trading, and watching football, “Roll Tide”. He almost always had some country music playing, and if it was Charlie Pride, that was even better! John also loved to go fishing with his best friend, Danny. Thank you, Danny, for always casting a rod with him.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Rodis and Louise Mooneyham of Dellwood, Florida; his maternal grandparents, Zollie and Alma Rowan of Chattahoochee, Florida; paternal grandparents, Johnnie and Exie Mooneyham of Dellwood, Florida; aunts and uncles, Mildred and JD Tucker of Lake City, Florida, Yvonne and Cary Simpson of Lake Butler, Florida, Betty and Jimmy Atkins of Orlando, Florida, Montez and Clyde Bonner of Tallahassee, Florida, and Carleen and Zollie Clyde Rowan of Valdosta, Georgia; cousins, James and Kay Minshew of Lake Butler, Florida, and Dr. Harry Tucker of Orlando, Florida

John is survived by his brothers and their families: Joseph Virgil Mooneyham of Dellwood, James Albert Mooneyham (Kitty, Nichole, Greg) of Malone, Richard David Mooneyham (Sandra, Amber, Hayes, Jessica, Gabby and Jasmine) of Marianna. He is also survived by his significant other for 33 years, Linda Davis; her children, Bobbie Jo Davis (Randy Keene) of Marianna, John Davis (Leann Emery) of Bonifay; grandchildren who cherished their Pawpaw deeply, Ethan Keene, Nila Keene, Ava Davis, Charlee Davis, Chad Case, and Chloe Case; his very best friend, Danny Melvin; cousins, Kim Riggs, Karen Shealy, and Hobbie Minshew and their families of Lake Butler, Cliff Rowan and family and Linda Yates of Lake City, Dr. Luci Saha of Tallahassee, Delan Gillian and family of Destin, Jane Bonner, and Jean Young of Tallahassee, Dr. Jim Atkins and family of Orlando, and Danny Penderson and family of Orlando.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Gary Gable officiating. Burial will follow in Dellwood Baptist Church cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
