Helen Faye Morris, 93 of Cottondale, Florida, died Friday, August 22, 2025, at her residence.
A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Morris worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 37 years as a bookkeeper, where she retired. She loved spending time with her family, her dog, Lulu, and working with her flowers. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Buford; her parents, Coleman and Mattie Ayers; her brother, Larry Ayers; her sister, Shirley Branton; and a son-in-law, Edwin Pelt.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Pelt of Panama City and Frankie Samford of Tallahassee; one son, Greg Morris (Tammy) of Kynesville; a sister, Carolyn Drake of Tallahassee; six grandchildren, Jamey Pelt (Katia) of Austin Texas, Kevin Pelt of Panama City, John Samford (Sarah) of Tallahassee, Matt Samford of Tallahassee, Heather Pilcher (Rick) of Grand Ridge, and Shelby Brooks (Dustin) of Cottondale; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and other close family members.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Revs. Juno Douglas and Bill Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
