Eugene Land

Eugene Land, 85, of Marianna died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at his residence. He was a native of Miami, served in The U S Navy in W W ll, lived in Jackson County for a number of years where he was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Land was a mechanic with Land's Garage. He is survived by his wife, Ora Bee Land; two sons, Donald Gene Land and his wife, Carlene of Alford, Earl Land and his wife Joyce of Butler, AL.; three daughters, Barbara Jackson and husband, John, Linda Price and husband James, Glenda Gail Noblin all of Marianna; sisters, Alice Lore of Senora, GA., Addie Lee Tillery and Rachel Frances Chadwick both of Phenix City, AL., Clara Williams of Lyons, GA., Margaret C. Miller of Smyrna, GA.; brothers, Willis Coulliette of Panama City, Paul Coulliette of Richmond, VA., Ralph Coulliette of Alford, Daniel Coulliette of Sneads; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, at Cypress Community Church with Rev. Jerry Mears and John Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Sims Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday at the residence.
