Erma Gwendolyn Medlock

Erma Gwendolyn Medlock, 88, of Marianna, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

A native of Marianna, Gwen had resided in Jackson County for the past 88 years where she was employed by Verizon Phone Company as a telephone operator for thirty five years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Louis Medlock; mother, Emily Cook Medlock; brother, Clarence Edwin Medlock. She is survived by her care giver for the past twelve years whom was her first cousin, Betty Jo Ford Hatcher.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday, March 28, 2016 at Riverside Cemetery with Rev. John Wamsley officiating. The family will recieve friends from 1 pm to 1:40 pm at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
