Elaine P. Folsom

Elaine P. Folsom, 68, of Marianna, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at her residence.

Elaine was born in Dothan, AL and raised in Graceville, FL. She spent her early years between Pensacola and Marianna until she made Marianna a permanent residence in the mid 60's. She was raised with a strong foundation of faith and family which she carried through with for her entire life. She was a Godly woman and could always relate a bible verse to any situation.

Elaine attended Marianna High School and after graduation, she attended Chipola Junior College until entering the workforce full time with Citizens State Bank as a teller. She was in banking and finance her entire career until she retired from Envision Credit Union as a consumer loan officer. Throughout her years in banking, she met a multitude of people and made even more friends. She was always willing to take someone under her wing, as anyone would tell you, she was an angel on earth. She didn't have her wings then but now she does, and many of us have a guardian angel now.

Elaine was a kind, loving, big hearted woman. Anyone who knew her, knew she would do the best she could to the best of her ability, one who always strived for the greater good in any situation. She cherished most, her family friends and loved ones and loved nothing more than sharing memories and stories from times before. She never met a stranger and if she did, you weren't after she met you. She was VERY kind, lovable and forgiving. She will be remembered and loved by all that knew her.

Elaine Fowler Padgett Folsom will be remembered by all that knew her as a kind and gentle soul that would do anything she could for you with a smile that could light up a room. Even with her battle, she always pointed out the positive. She was one of a kind and everyone should be as lucky to know her as those of us that did. God Bless and may she rest in peace.

She was preceded in death by her father, Early B. Fowler; mother, Janice Skinner Wilson stepfather, Wilborn Harry Wilson; grandfather, Allie Fowler and his wife, Lorrene; half siblings, Yma Yates and Shannon Yates.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Kenny Folsom; son, Tanner Padgett and his daughter, Grace Padgett; step-son, Ryan Folsom, his wife, Ciara, and children Finn and Piper; uncle, James Fowler and wife, Dot; aunt, Earlene Lassiter; cousins, Pat Kent, Jeff Fowler, Mike Lassiter, Tammy Fowler, Christy Stewart; friends since childhood, Gwen Parmer Oliver, Donna Williams Baxter; and a host of other cousins, nieces and nephews friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.

Private graveside services Monday, May 19, 2025 in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jonathan Fussell officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
