Dicie Marie Jones

Dicie Marie Jones, 89, of the Rocky Creek Community died Saturday, December 27, 2025.

She was born May 14, 1936, to Harvey and Lilla Adkins and spent the majority of her life in Jackson County. She married Richard Jones and became an army wife. While they were married, they lived mostly in Jackson County with one tour in Germany. Together they had two children. Dicie was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved having her family together and spending time with family. She loved life and lived it to the fullest, often dancing, bowling, fishing or just having a good conversation!

Dicie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jones; son, Richard Jr.; daughter, Susan; her parents; four sisters, Lucilie, Doris, Thelma, Betty; and four brothers, Authur, Orbie, Edward, and James.

She is survived by her brothers, Stoney Adkins (Linda), Alvin Adkins; along with many family and friends.

Graveside service will be 10 AM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Sims Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
