Dolores Rose Brown

Dolores Brown, 92, of Alford, Florida died Thursday, November 27, 2025, after a brief illness.

She was born in Tacoma, Washington on August 28, 1933. She always loved nature and after a professional career in accounting, she chose to work outside, working for the Florida Department of Transportation, the Florida Park Services, and later, Wakulla Springs. Dolores truly loved nature and enjoyed every day of her retirement in the Florida Panhandle in her garden and also sewing.

She is survived by three children and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, December 8, 2025, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Cottondale Baptist Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of the service.
