Colin Doyle Miles, 59, of Marianna, passed away on June 7, 2026.
Born to A.D. Miles and Joyce English James, Colin grew up in Marianna, where he developed a lifelong love for his hometown and its people. He graduated from Marianna High School, attended Chipola Junior College, and went on to earn his degree from the University of Florida.
Colin began his career at Chipola Aviation, where he worked until its closing. When the company relocated, he chose to remain in Marianna, a decision that reflected his deep roots in the community. He transitioned into a new career at Bob Pforte Motors, later joining Marianna Toyota, where he dedicated almost 26 years of service.
Outside of work, Colin was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, traveling and spending time with his close-knit group of friends known as the “Granders,” a competitive long-range shooting team. He was also a devoted member of his church, where he cherished his pastor and church family.
Colin’s life was marked by loyalty, kindness, and a gift for building lasting friendships. His warm smile, easy laugh, and genuine care for others left an impression on everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by parents, A.D. Miles and Joyce English James; stepfather, Leland James; grandparents, Whiley and Lina Davis Miles, Paul and Lois Tucker English; sister, Sue James Brock; uncle and cousin, Alvin and Colby English; and nephew, Shannon Carter.
He is survived by his sister, Alana Allen (Ben); nieces, Lilly, Kate and Ava Ball; stepsiblings, Amy Brinkley and Cara Cripes (Joseph), Steve James (Terese), Brenda James Gibson (Allan), Sadie Kerr (Rudy); sister-in-law, Cindy James; aunt and uncles, Don Miles, Bud English (Sue) Teresa English; nieces and nephews; Jay English, Monty English, Julie Warren (Matt), Stephanie James Hollister (Hobie), Andrew James (Courtney), Jason Carter (Angie), Heather Gibson Bethea (Bobby), Joseph Gibson (Miranda), Barry Harris and numerous nieces, nephews, and family and friends Colin loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be 3 PM Monday, June 15, 2026, at Rivertown Community Church in Marianna with Pastor Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew James, Jason Carter, Hobie Hollister, Jorge Garcia, Paul Padgett, and David Cumbie.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Woodall, Kiptyn Smith, Allen Chason, David Castleberry, Will Melton, Brint Clark, JT Harper, Tom Elder, and Travis Hatcher.
His family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at the church, Monday, June 15, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his memory to RCC's Student Center Project, 4534 Lafayette Street, Marianna, FL 32446.
