Carl Brannon

Carl Jackson Brannon, 90, of Marianna, widower of Patricia Brannon, died Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born October 8, 1934, in Kynesville, FL to Luke and Christine Brannon. Carl served in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years as a Radar Technician. He later went on to earn a degree as an LPN and worked for another 15 years with the State of Florida. Throughout his life, he enjoyed his time outside especially with his truck and tractor.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Carl Jackson Brannon, Jr., Jack Randell Brannon, Carl David Brannon, Larry Richard Brannon; and stepson, Kenneth Earl Johnson.

He is survived by his daughters, Deborah A. Essig (Tom), Melissa Reuter; stepdaughter, Pamela Hamilton; grandchildren, Christopher Brock Stevens (Beth), Danny J. Hamilton (Tracie) and Cody Hamilton (Marie), Earl Johnson (Joy), Amy Sanchez (Jacob), Amanda Kay Johnson; great-grandchildren, Alex and Brice Stevens; brothers, Charles Brannon (Leola), Wilson Brannon (Donna); and sister, Joyce Collins.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, June 21, 2025, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor John Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church in Malone with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
