Benjamin Shoemaker

Benjamin Shoemaker, 79, of Malone, Florida died Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Ben was a hard worker and devoted family man. He worked for 42 years with the Federal State Inspection Service inspecting peanuts, fruits, and vegetables across Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working. He was known as Master Craftsman. He loved his family dearly and cherished any time he got to spend with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Russell Shoemaker and Stella Elizabeth Shoemaker; his loving wife of 48 years, Ada Virginia Shoemaker; daughter, Glenda Ann Shoemaker; and niece, Stephanie Elaine Ham.

He is survived by his son, Ricky Shoemaker (Susan); daughter, Linda Monroy, and daughter, Carolyn Bennett; sisters, Elizabeth Conrad, Elaine Barren, and Ruth Ham; grandchildren, Benjamin Monroy, Regina Collins (Evan), Celena Wilson (Josh), and Kendra Weeks (Chris), five great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Russell Conrad, Kay Andrews, Kim King, and Marcus Ham.

Graveside funeral service will be 10AM Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Revs. Ed Ham and Steve Welch officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Serving at pallbearers will be, Scott King, Steven King , Wade King, Mike Ham, Tim Ham and Jonathan Sikes.
