Benjamin G. Powell, 79, of Altha, passed away January 17, 2018.
He was a native of Bayou George, FL, where he was born and raised. Before his retirement, Mr. Powell traveled the country as a Union pipe fitter.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joyce; Daughter, Sandra Powell; Son, Russell Powell, and his parents, Gordon Powell and Arnisha Walker.
Survivors include sons, Keith Powell and Bart Powell of California, and John Powell of Georgia; beloved daughters, April Powell and Jennifer DeGeer of Georgia; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in Marianna, FL. Everyone is welcome to attend.
