    Lillie Mae McAllister

    March 9, 1927 - January 8, 2022

Lillie Mae (Long) McAllister, 94, of Marianna passed away at home on Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and even a great-great-grandmother who loved each one of us and always encouraged us to be our best. She was born and raised in Marianna and retired here, from Martin County School Board (Florida). While at the school board, she was one of the first women bus drivers and supervisors of the Transportation Department.  She had received numerous awards for having years of an accident-free history with her drivers.  She was a strong and faithful woman to her Lord and Savior and dedicated to her family. She was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton Gene McAllister, daughter, Debra Kerr and husband, Dennis.  Survivors include her sons, Tommy McAllister and wife, Joanne; Ronnie McAllister and wife, Becky, all of Marianna; grandchildren, Jeffery, Jamie, Joshua McAllister, Chrissy Metcalf, Jennifer McAllister, Patty Pettis, Michelle Gandy, Diane Bellamy, Renee Rando and Lacey O’Neal; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler, Zack, Cody, Izzy, Charlotte, Ashley, Kinsley, Will, Macie, Hudson, Brianna, Savannah, Chantel, Brittany, Bobby and Justin. She also had three great-great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.   Funeral services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God Church with Revs. Ellis Vickery & Bill Shouppe officiating. Burial will follow in Vickery Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God Church.
