    Judith Rae Bryant Dahlhoff

    February 14, 1941 - August 17, 2021

On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Judith Rae Bryant Dahlhoff fell asleep in death. She lived most of her life in Mobile, Alabama, but spent the last seven years of her life in Marianna, Florida. Judy was a member of the Marianna Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was affectionately known as "Granny" by most people she met, young or old. Judy loved that title and wore it proudly. Granny will always be remembered for her giving spirit, big heart, silly nature, contagious laugh and her love of family. She was known for loving the Backstreet Boys and spending time with her family members, especially her grandchildren. She also liked to tell the story of how she went to the fair with the one and only Elvis Presley when she was in her teens. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and talking about her God, Jehovah when the opportunity presented itself.  Judy was born in Chickasaw, Alabama on February 14, 1941 to Ray and Ongeleta Bryant. She was a tomboy and a bit mischievous. On January 3, 1958 she married Irving Jack Dahlhoff. Together, they had four beautiful children, Jack, Joseph, Jenith and James. In the late 1950’s and into 1960’s Judy began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses and was dedicated and baptized.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Alton “Ray” Bryant and Ongeleta Ruth Miles Bryant; husband, Irving Jack Dahlhoff; sister, Sharon Merrill Etheridge; and son, Sigmund James Dahlhoff. She is survived by her three children; Jack Dahlhoff (Roberta Vazzolern Dalhoff) of Albermarle, North Carolina, Joe Dahlhoff (Kathy) of Marianna, Florida, Jenith Lott (Joe) of Tillman’s Corner, Alabama; brother-in-law Bill Dahlhoff; four nieces, Stephanie Jernigan (Steve) of Saraland, Alabama, Shannon Etheridge of Saraland, Alabama, Sharee May (Dennis), Sandy Benson (Ray); one nephew, Steven Merrill (Janett) of Theodore, Alabama; 14 grandchildren, Kiersten (Jay) Hines of Hoover, Alabama, Jacquelyn Ross (Bryan) of Bonifay, Florida, Richard Vise (Robyn) of Wilmer, Alabama, Cynthia Armstrong (RC) of Bonifay, Florida, Michela Holt (Kenny) of Albemarle, North Carolina, Amanda Dahlhoff, Joseph Dahlhoff, Jr. (Malayna) of Panama City, Florida, Amberly Dahlhoff of Beaverton, Oregon, James Dahlhoff, Jr. of Saint Helens, Oregon, Samantha Moseley of Mobile, Alabama, Jennifer Bernier (Angelo) of Marianna, Florida, Amanda Griffith and Jonathan Smith (Jennifer) of Panama City, Florida, Alexa McRae (Thomas) of Charlotte, North Carolina; 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of spiritual family, extended family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:45 AM (CDT) on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Serenity Gardens, 8651 Old Pascagoula Rd, Theodore, Alabama, 36582.  Social distancing protocols for outside events will be observed.
