Charles Terry Davis

March 5, 1948 - March 8, 2022

Charles Terry Davis, 74, of Graceville, Florida passed away on Monday, March 8, 2022, at Jackson County Hospital in Marianna, Florida with his family at his side.  He was born in Cottondale, Florida on March 5, 1948.  Terry (as everyone knew him), was a lifetime resident of Jackson County.   Terry was loved by everyone who ever met him, and enjoyed making everyone laugh and feel comfortable when they came by to visit him on the front porch.  His desire to help others and make them feel important was evident by opening his home to Linda’s (wife) three great-grandchildren, who they raised for the last six years of his life.  Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Ila Howell Davis; father, Carlton Davis; brothers, Glyn and Kenneth Davis, sisters, Virginia Davis Braxton and Mabel Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Davis; sons, Charles “Tim” Davis, from Dothan, AL, Jerry Finley (Holly Finley), from Bartow FL;  daughter, Angela Hays (Shawn Hays), from Richmond, VA; step-mother, Gracie Davis; brothers, Eddie Davis (Jo), from Cottondale FL, Richard Davis (Donna Sue), from Montgomery AL; Steve Davis (Carol) of Cottondale, Linden Davis of Cottondale, Andy Davis of Marianna, sister, Janet Smith (Steve) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Danielle Miller, from White Cloud, MI, Dalton Hays from St. Augustine, FL, Lacey Finley from Bartow, FL, Shana Finley from Bartow, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.   The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
